Hello Cameron! We purposely don’t publicize the contents of upcoming boxes so the books are a surprise to both you and your little one(s)! If you would like to see additional samples of prior boxes, please contact us directly.
Q: I want to buy a 12 month plan for my 2 year old, starting with the board books, but switch to picture books partway through. Is that an option?Asked by Nicole T., November 2021
Absolutely! You will be able to switch to picture books on your own in your order settings, or we're happy to do it for you. Just contact us when you are ready to make the switch.

My boys are ages 4, 6, and 9 and they all love when they see the orange StoryCaptain box on the porch!! As a parent, I love that the books included are diverse and cover a variety of topics. My coworker gave me a 3 month subscription when I had a baby girl. We have loved getting the board books and it is such a fun way to build our library. She's too young for the activities, but we hope to try them out when she's a little older.

We just received our first box out of the six that my parents ordered for us a gift. This month's theme was dinosaurs. Out of the three board books that we got, my two year old really likes two of them. This will be a great way to build out our library over time.
